Van Trang wins Y Ty Mua Vang 2026 and hits back: “I run with my legs, not with gossip”

On September 6, 2026, at the Y Ty Mua Vang 2026 trail race in Lao Cai, runner Van Trang finished the 42km course in 4 hours 26 minutes, placing first among women and second overall. Only one male runner finished ahead of her on a demanding mountain course with more than 1,300 meters of elevation gain. Van Trang, born in 2026 and known as Jang Doll, is a mother of four. Her achievement, however, was quickly overshadowed by online comments mocking her body shape. Instead of staying silent, she responded sharply: “I run with my legs, not with gossip.” The Hanoian runner said female athletes should be recognized for their effort and results, not judged by their appearance. She also confirmed she would not change her sports outfit just to avoid insulting stares. Next, she plans to race the VMM 70km and later tackle a 100km ultramarathon before the end of 2026. Van Trang’s message is simple: let performance speak, and do not become a version of yourself invented by other people.
